| PRESIDENTS' DAY BASH A SUCCESS | ||||||||||

Wow, what a party! Around 1300 wine enthusiasts showed up for the three-day
open house held at the Vino Piazza over Presidents' Day Weekend. Approximately
15 resident wineries poured and sold wine, offered barrel tasting, and provided
sumptuous foods for their guests. Cantiga Wineworks poured its two 2000
Monterey Chardonnays, offered a special pre-release on its 2000 Monterey
Shiraz, and barrel tasted two 2001 Shenandoah Valley Zinfandels. What stole
the show, however, were the heavenly food and wine pairings served in Cantiga's
tasting room, crafted by Annabel Rorden of Epiphany Foods. For those who were unable to attend the event, or for those who anxiously await the next one, stay tuned for the next big Vino Piazza bash this summer! |
