Cantiga Wineworks' 2000 Chardonnay, Barrel-Aged, was awarded a gold medal at the second annual San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition last month. Winemakers Rich and Christine Rorden are delighted that the winery's first release and only entry into the competition met with such favor. Competition results were published in a special section of the Chronicle on March 6, 2002. The Rordens received the award and poured for the Chronicle’s tasting event at the Herbst Pavilion at Fort Mason, San Francisco, on March 16.
