Job Opening:
Tasting Room Associate
December 11, 2019: Seeking a passionate wine geek for p/t weekend tasting room work.
Do you love wine and yearn to be part of a boutique family winery? Do you enjoy people, storytelling and hospitality? Cantiga Wineworks is looking for an individual who is willing to learn, to promote our winery’s unique story, to build relationships with guests, and to provide excellent, warm customer service.
The successful candidate will be willing and able to tackle all the tasks involved in the operation of a tasting room, both up front and behind the scenes, including:

Lifting up to 50 lbs for order fulfilment and restocking, and able to stand for long periods of time

Light food handling (training provided)

Gaining proficiency in our POS software and sales/wine club procedures

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in and around the tasting room facilities

Take on additional duties and projects (side work) as needed
Qualifications:
-
Love and knowledge of wine, or a passionate interest in learning about wine

Willingness to work weekends, holidays and varied hours

Retail or hospitality experience preferred

Strong communication, customer service and sales skills

Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Grace under pressure—must be able to remain focused, calm and professional at all times

Basic computer skills and comfort with POS systems

Must be at least 21 years of age

Must believe in our product and mission; it is important to be able to stand behind whatever you sell!
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
